"I grew up in a small town and had the same family doctor for much of my life. I moved to Calgary and could not seem to find a provider who would take my concerns seriously. The arthritis in my knee had become so severe I had bone on bone in my knee. I was told I was too young for a knee replacement and my quality of life and ability to earn a living was becoming a daily challenge. I found NP Karen Parker and she arranged all of the necessary tests to refer me for a knee replacement and advocated so strongly on my behalf. I got a full knee replacement within a year and a half!
